ABOUT

I have over thirty years experience in construction, contracting and procurement for the public and private sector.

Work has included major hospital developments, hotels, retail, offices, industrial, educational and leisure projects in all aspects of new build, extension and refurbishment.

I established myself as a Planning Supervisor under the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 1994 on projects throughout the UK, as CDM Co-ordinator since 2007 and latterly as a Principal Designer / CDM Adviser since the introduction of the CDM 2015 Regulations.

I have both general and construction NEBOSH certificates, and I am a member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and also an Incorporated Member of the Association for Project Safety.

Over the years I have worked with a number of large commercial practices, including Faithful & Gould, PCM and with Arcadis, a nation-wide project consultancy, until I decided to set-up my own consultancy business in August of 2009.

Since then I've undertaken CDM work & site audits on many premises, whilst providing advice to firms requiring health and safety policies and practices; in addition to giving talks on aspects of health and safety as part of in-house practice and also to students at Birmingham City University and local interest groups.

Fast forward to 2021 and my client base consists of Sole Traders, SMEs, and a number of both medium and large sized businesses.

Our work starts before any boots have hit the ground, carrying out preliminary auditing whilst identifying risks and hazards before they become an issue. This is then supplemented by documentation such as;

Having worked in the core construction industry for so long, we appreciate the need for both regular and thorough training. We can deliver instruction for individuals and groups, or provide you with the correct information to do it yourself.
